Oiartzun, País Vasco
7 outstanding TDJs - 6 masterclasses
40 h of dancing - 3 dance floors

TANGO AMONG THE MOUNTAINS
Nestled among the mountains of Oiartzun, in the neighbourhood of Ergoien Auzoa, you will find the charming Pagoa Kafe Antzokia, a café-theatre and craft brewery established in 1998, with its own brand: www.pagoa.eus. It is a beautiful venue in Euskal Herria, with ample parking, and home to one of the Basque Country’s most representative milongas: La Vasca Milonga.
All the event rooms have wooden floors, and the venue will offer bar and pintxo service until the end of the event.
MARATANGUEANDO will take place there: the first tango marathon in Gipuzkoa, held from 16 to 18 October 2026. A peaceful, privileged setting, surrounded by the beaches of the Cantabrian Sea, the lush green charm of its mountains, and the gastronomy for which the area is renowned.

Christina Gómez
Christina Gómez
I came into the world of tango through dancing, but after so many years of listening to tangos, I eventually began to explore the orchestras, their stories, their energies, and the effect all this has on the atmosphere of a milonga. I love sitting down, watching the dance floor, and choosing what is best for the dancers at that particular moment. A milonga is a little like a blank sheet of paper, and the dancers and I work together to draw something full of feeling. My aim is to fill the dance floor and make every tanda irresistible to dance to. I always focus on the great tango orchestras and their most popular and danceable pieces, especially from the Golden Age, in order to take the milonga and its dancers on a journey through different energies. And I never forget the fun cortinas, so the party never stops!
Ariel Yanovsky
Ariel Yanovsky
A passionate and experienced tango DJ, he has spent more than seven years dedicated to traditional tango music and has over five years’ professional experience as a musicalizador. His style is deeply rooted in traditional Argentine tango, with carefully selected tandas designed to maintain the flow, energy and connection with the dance floor.
He has musicalised at milongas and events in various countries, including Colombia, Brazil, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Switzerland, Austria, Moldova, Finland and Turkey. His approach combines respect for tradition, musical sensitivity and international experience, adapting to diverse audiences and creating lively, dynamic and memorable milongas.
Joseba Pagola
Joseba Pagola
Joseba Pagola, based in Astigarraga, works as a tango DJ with a thoughtful understanding of the orchestras, styles and evolution of the genre. His musical selection is shaped both by attentive listening and by the experience he has built up as a dancer and teacher.
His way of musicalising seeks to respond to the real needs of the dance floor. His choice of tandas is intrinsically linked to the atmosphere of the milonga, the energy circulating among the dancers, and the specific moment within the event, with the aim of sustaining a lively, comfortable dance floor that remains open to connection.
Carmen Villafuerte
Carmen Villafuerte
Carmen Villafuerte de Anca, based in Seville, has been a musicalizadora since 2005 and a milonguera since 2000. When she musicalises a milonga, her main aim is to connect with the dancers, creating a pleasant atmosphere that invites them to enjoy both the dancing and the music. Her musical selection is based mainly on the orchestras of the Golden Age of Tango, while also incorporating contemporary orchestras.
She has musicalised at milongas in Seville, Granada, Valencia, Alicante and other cities, as well as at national gatherings of tango enthusiasts’ associations held in Seville, Málaga, Logroño and L’Ametlla de Mar. She has also taken part in tango encuentros in Mallorca, Málaga and Santander, and in national festivals in Seville, Cádiz, Granada, Mallorca, the Canary Islands, Lugo, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao and Pamplona. Internationally, she has musicalised in Sweden, Italy and Portugal, as well as taking part in the 12th International Tango Summit and in tango marathons in Bilbao, Pamplona and Porto.
Her training includes the 1st Tango Diploma held at the University of Buenos Aires, Faculty of Economic Sciences, in December 2022, as well as DJ courses for musicalising milongas taught by Damián Boggio, Marcelo Rojas and Vivi La Falce.
Roberto Chas
Roberto Chas
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, and I have listened to and loved tango all my life. The spirit of each tanda, and the “colour” of each orchestra and each tango, matter to me above any other musical criterion. I place great importance on the stories tangos tell, even instrumental ones, and on the sensations they leave on the dance floor.
When I musicalise, I feel as though I am dancing with the whole dance floor as my partner and, even after so many years, it still amazes me that, so far away, so many people from such remote and diverse places can be moved by something that has always felt so familiar to me.
I cannot name one orchestra as my favourite, because it depends on the moment, the setting, and countless other factors. But it is true that I feel especially at ease with D’Arienzo, and I am fascinated by the range of sensations he awakens, depending on the period and the singer.
In recent years I have musicalised at many festivals in Spain — Oviedo, Pamplona, Bilbao, Madrid and the Canary Islands — as well as at regular milongas such as Yunta Brava, Suerte Loca and Amarras, and at several international festivals and milongas in Germany and France.
Dominique Fauche
Dominique Fauche
TDJ Dumé lives in France, at the foot of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre in the Pyrenees.
In 2001, together with a group of friends, he discovered tango during an evening at the Tarbes en Tango festival.
Between discovery and fascination, he developed a true attraction to the music through the milonga, one that nourishes every moment of his varied experiences and explorations.
Since 2016, through Montañas de Tango, his association in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, he has organised tango events in the casino halls, such as the monthly Esquina milonga and Les Estivales de Tango, a three-day event with live music and national and international DJs.
For him, as in his Tanda Cambio, encounters and shared moments should be renewed in every tanda. As a DJ, he draws inspiration from the very roots of the Golden Age and easily combines them with more contemporary styles, according to the energy of each milonga.
Selva Parra
Selva Parra
Selva is a great lover of exquisite music, and tango is, par excellence, a genre rich in culture, poetry and captivating emotion. She studied music with Colombia’s Youth Symphony Orchestra from a very young age and is a professional dancer who has devoted her life to inhabiting tango from its roots, spreading its culture across different countries and creating spaces for milongueros to dance, connect and enjoy.
